A meeting Was held on November 14 in Turin by the Board of Directors of italia150 CintoCinquanta. It was the first meeting of all members appointed by the Minister for Arts and Culture Sandro Bondi to celebrate the Italy’s 150th birthday in 2011.
The meeting was chaired by Executive Vice-President Alberto Vanelli, while speakers included Sen. Enzo Ghigo, il dott. Enzo Ghigo, Dr. Alain Elkann e il prof. Alain Elkann and prof. Fulvio Basteris nominati dal Ministro Bondi lo scorso 19 settembre.
Fulvio Basteris was appointed by the Minister Bondi last Sept. 19.
The Committee of Italia150 is responsible for coordinating the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy to be celebrated in 2011, in Turin and Piedmont regions.
The agenda, in addition to the government’s Committee, there were reports on 2008 activities and approval of plan assets 2009.
The activities of 2009 will consist mainly of verifying the feasibility and defining the operational plan of the major events of 2011, which fall within the official program of Italy 150. They will also be developed tourism products for 2011, the draft ticketing (whose launch to the public is planned for spring 2010) and the educational program aimed at schools.
Among the activities next year: the presentation in Rome of the site www.italia150.it, the festival Torino / Italy to Brussels (a series of events dedicated to the Piedmont and Italy, February-March 2009), Biennale Democracy (April 2009 ) And participation in major tourism fairs in Italy and Europe.
